Contact Louise McAllen to book 11:00 am: Tai Chi Qigong for Beginners - Caroline11:00 am: Tai Chi Qigong for Beginners - Caroline – Qigong (pronounced Chee gung) is a type of gentle exercise which originated in China and has been practised for thousands of years. Gentle movements are done repeatedly in a flowing sequence bringing together body, mind and breath which encourages relaxation and creates a meditative effect. The movements are simple and easy to follow which makes the practice available to most people. They can be done standing or seated or a combination of the two. When we are mindful we are fully engaged with whatever we’re doing at the present time and we become more focussed and aware of our thoughts and feelings. Practicing mindfulness helps us to be more accepting and kinder to ourselves and others. This helps us to lower our stress levels and be more connected to who we want to be. Practicing Qigong has been shown to have many health benefits including relaxing the mind and body, improving posture and balance, improving breathing and circulation, strengthening the joints and muscles, and improving energy levels and wellbeing. Because it can help to reduce stress it can help with many health conditions that are worsened by stress. It would be great if you could join me to learn and practise this really enjoyable moving meditation. No equipment is needed, just wear comfortable clothing. We unusually practice in bare feet or non-slip socks. The session will end with a short seated or lying meditation for which you need to bring your own mat and blanket. The cost of the class is £10 for the 1hour session. You can take advantage of a reduced price of £45 for 5 sessions if you pay in advance. Please make payment in advance by bank transfer or bring cash on the day but make sure you book your place as space is limited. Hope to see you soon. Details from louisecartland@hotmail.com or phone 07775 876464 Class pass accepted or drop in £10 7:30 pm: Hatha flow yoga - Shelly7:30 pm: Hatha flow yoga - Shelly – A friendly Hatha flow yoga class, where poses gently flow on to each other, building up strength & flexibility. This is a slightly longer class, so after building up strength and energy in our asana (poses), we have time to explore pranayama ( breathwork) and more restorative/quieter poses before a delicious nurturing savasana (relaxation). Through these practices we strengthen and open the body, find quiet within the mind and rebalance our energies. My focus is being present and connected to our self, finding joy and a sense of humour in our practice, and bringing these tools into our everyday. We all have an abundance of wisdom, beauty, and clarity within ourselves. All we need, we already have. By connecting to ourselves, we open the gateway within. Ashaya yoga is an alignment based practice that focuses on ‘heart-opening’ and has its roots in Tantric philosophy. Psychotherapeutic concepts are interwoven with the yoga sequences towards a deeper level of body-mind interaction.
The following 6 class series will be given:
1) From exclusion to inclusion.
2) Beliefs and perspective.
3) Emotions and autonomic regulation.
4) Aligning heart and mind.
5) The inner critic meets the compassionate self.
6) Acceptance and commitment.
Join Zoom Meeting Meeting ID: 871 9938 7281 I am a certified Hatha yoga teacher trained in the Ashaya Yoga method, which is an alignment-based practice that is focused on 'heart-opening' and has its roots in Tantric philosophy. My main occupation is as a Practitioner Psychologist in the NHS and I am registered with the HCPC (Health Care Professions Council: PYL34365). The style of yoga that I practice thus integrates my therapeutic knowledge with yoga poses, whereby therapeutic themes are interwoven throughout the class and 'psychoeducation' is provided. Some of the therapeutic additions draw on trauma focused techniques, compassion focused therapy, inner child work, anxiety management, and much more. The more therapeutic experience that I have gained, the more I have come to understand the essential role of the body in trauma, whereby unprocessed trauma is understood to be 'stored' in the body. I come from a trauma-informed perspective where I view many of the difficulties that individuals experience as having roots in trauma. This can be relational, physical, ancestral (epigenetics) and/or societal. We are constantly bombarded with messages that lead to 'not feeling good enough', which can arise from unrealistic comparisons and expectations that essentially cause chronic stress. The combined approach of 'yoga asana' and 'mind perspective' serves to reduce this. https://www.psychologytoday.com/gb/counselling/danielle-nicole-phoenix-uckfield-eng/378682 6:00 pm: Ordinary - Grace studio + zoom6:00 pm: Ordinary - Grace studio + zoom – Hatha yoga class - movement, breathing and relaxation with philosophy, all welcome in the studio or online https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82822450018?pwd=NGN4NDhhTEVZZzR0WlB3RXFqTUUwZz09 zoom meeting ID 828 2245 0018 password gracerose Payment by cash or PayPal (graceannand@hotmail.com) or BACS Lloyd's 30-91-91 business account 31807160 Uckfield yoga studio |

You are invited to the first of hopefully many Uckfield women's circles. What is a women's circle?
The tradition of women gathering in circle to share, support and connect with each other is an ancient one and one we should re claim. it is needed now more than ever.
A women's circle is a simple gathering of a group of women in a safe space, gathering with intention and without judgement. A much needed healing sanctuary in which to to take time out and connect with like minded women, share in meditation, craft and whatever else feels right. Simply breath and let go of the outside world for the duration. A space to recharge, Re fill that empty cup!
We will honour the seasons both in nature and in our ourselves, return and connect to the sacred feminine within and allow this circle of women to be a source of strength, inspiration and allow our hearts to be filled.
You are welcome no matter how you feel. Just show up and be held.
With love
Gemma

Your body will love you for it!! The combined approach of 'yoga asana' and 'mind perspective' serves to reduce this. https://www.psychologytoday.com/gb/counselling/danielle-nicole-phoenix-uckfield-eng/378682 6:00 pm: Ordinary - Grace studio + zoom6:00 pm: Ordinary - Grace studio + zoom – Hatha yoga class - movement, breathing and relaxation with philosophy, all welcome in the studio or online https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82822450018?pwd=NGN4NDhhTEVZZzR0WlB3RXFqTUUwZz09 zoom meeting ID 828 2245 0018 password gracerose Payment by cash or PayPal (graceannand@hotmail.com) or BACS Lloyd's 30-91-91 business account 31807160 Uckfield yoga studio 7:30 pm: Slow Flow Yoga & Meditation - Laura7:30 pm: Slow Flow Yoga & Meditation - Laura – A slow-paced but deep practice blending slow flow yoga, moments of meditation and stillness, breath awareness, relaxation and rest. 11:00 am: Tai Chi Qigong for Beginners - Caroline11:00 am: Tai Chi Qigong for Beginners - Caroline – Qigong (pronounced Chee gung) is a type of gentle exercise which originated in China and has been practised for thousands of years. Feel free to contact me by phone, text or email to book in and with any questions about the class. I will be happy to hear from you. I like to draw attention to subtle, anatomical details to avoid injury and sometimes include face yoga. Background healing music aids the de-stressing process so you emerge relaxed and revitalised. All are very welcome, and class passes are accepted for studio & zoom. Please contact me with any questions shelly@yogaspiral.co.uk |

7:30 pm: Strong Hatha -Maria7:30 pm: Strong Hatha -Maria – I teach traditional Hatha Yoga, however the classes also have a 'Yin/Yang' feel to them. This class is suitable for beginners becoming intermediates. We tend to practice more advanced poses during the sessions, but the stronger asanas are fully guided and supported.
In these classes we explore different breathing techniques that help to support and align the body, especially during the postures and dynamic movement.
I have taught Yoga for almost 10 years; teaching has always brought me immense joy, especially when I see a student go from strength to strength.
You will not be charged for the first class.

7:15 pm: Women's Circle - Gemma7:15 pm: Women's Circle - Gemma –
With love
Gemma
