Uckfield Yoga Studio Classes

We had our first Zoom session this morning (even though the link I sent was not working – sorry)  all went well so I have booked classes at 9.30 am Monday – Friday, if you have Zoom the meeting ID is 512374699 and if you want to download Zoom please try this link  https://us04web.zoom.us/j/512374699. I have also booked evening classes at 6 pm on Monday, Tuesday,Thursday and Friday. The meeting ID is 157071202 or link in with https://us04web.zoom.us/j/157071202. When the class is running you turn off your audio and you can choose to be visible or not and you can leave if the phone rings etc. I am charging half the usual price so if you have paid in advance your card is here and the cost is £4/ £4.50 or £5 drop in. There are bank details on the website and I plan to add this information, hopefully with a link to paypal. However if you are in financial meltdown please join us for free, all are very welcome and feedback on the classes is helpful to improve the experience. Tuesday 8-9am Morning Flow
fluid, flowing practice where we will link our movement and breath. A perfect start to the day, with an emphasis on encouraging mobility and freedom of movement.

Wednesday 9-9:45pm: Wednesday Wind Down 

We’ll focus on releasing the tension of the day; slowing down the momentum of the mind so when it’s time to sleep it will be easier. We’ll do a short, floor-based practice before moving into a longer guided, relaxation meditation/yoga nidra. Feel free to join in your comfies and turn the lights down low.

Thursday 6-7:15pm: Power Flow 

In this class we’ll build strength, challenge ourselves and raise the heart rate.

Sunday 5:30–6:45pm Vinyasa Flow 

A strong Vinyasa Flow class where we will start with the Sun Salutations, move into a series of standing postures followed by a seated series before making our way towards our final resting pose, Savasana. The class will vary each week and may include Pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation. 

All classes are offered on a donation basis. I suggest around £5 depending on your financial means. If you can’t budget for yoga classes at the moment, then I am very happy for you to join without giving anything. The exception to this is Wednesday Wind Down which I would like to offer to everyone without accepting any donations – this is my gift to you.

White Crane Online, there are two levels of membership. It’s free to register and follow along with some content. For the tai chi form and other qigong forms it’s £9.99 per month. www.whitecraneonline.com

I’m also streaming two classes daily. One is  tai chi/qigong/meditation themed and the other is kung fu/kickboxing/fitness themed. They’re at 10am and 7.30pm, 7 days per week, 30 minutes per lesson.
Anyone is welcome to join in and it’s £25 per month to access all of them. I also have private Facebook and WhatsApp groups that subscribers can join and ask questions, stay in touch, etc… anyone can email me at mark.stevenson@whitecraneacademy for more details.

I have been teaching yoga in Uckfield for 15 years and now my dream has come true – we have a yoga studio. 20 years ago I went to my first yoga class and in 1999 I spent 6 months in India staying in ashrams, going to classes every day and learning as much as possible about yoga. In 2004 I completed teacher training with the Pranava school and then I studied the diploma with BWY. I call my classes ordinary yoga – there is a philosophical theme each week, focus on breathing well, moving our body and connecting to the self . We come together to practice, each person exploring their personal source of wisdom to create a balanced, complete and happy life. Yoga practice is a tool to help us develop our awareness and being together with others on same path can support and inspire us, please join us you will be very welcome.
